Iowa State University Art Museum

Recently these 3 pieces were accepted into the Brunnier Art Museum at Iowa State University.

These pieces are all anodized aluminum and sterling silver.  This black ring I made in 2005 and gave to my ex.  A couple years after we broke up she sent it back.  I told her if she doesn't want it, just throw it away.  When I received it I seriously considered destroying it.  The stones are sapphires.  I wish I had a better photo of it.

LongHouse Reserve

I just found out one of my pieces was acquired by LongHouse Reserve.  It is this folded copper vase from 2008.

I am told it will be in a basket exhibition from April 29th.  It's not a basket, but I guess they think it looks close enough.

Cedar Rapids Museum of Art

I found out last week that the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art recently had two of my pieces donated to it's permanent collection, a brooch from 2009 and a ring from 2005.

I was told they would be in an upcoming exhibition this spring (probably this exhibition, but I'm not sure).

Racine Art Museum

I got the good news I was waiting for about my brooches that I mentioned in my Dec. 27th post. The two pictured below were accepted into the permanent collection at the Racine Art Museum.

This is the first of my work to get into a museum's permanent collection. I am so happy about it. I guess my teapot is in some collection in Korea, but I really don't know where. I should probably find out about that.
